We recently had the good fortune to shoot with the uber-talented
and ever-fun photographer, Michael J. Lee.
His instinctive eye for composition beautifully captures
the efforts of everyone who helped transform this home, inside and out.
Our design team worked hard in the days leading up to the shoot --
installing and styling all of the details that finish each space —
from the late night papering of the loft's alcove wall with vintage book pages,
to an early morning collecting grasses from the marsh.
Michael sets up the dining room shot.
[The skulls on his shirt were outdone only by those on his shoes.]
Grace Garrison, of Carpenter MacNeille, came by during photography of the kitchen,
for which her firm built all of the fine cabinetry.
She even graciously lent a hand with the blackout curtain.
Michael trusts me near his tripod (very daring!)
to check out a master bedroom set up.
Kelly prepped much of the greenery that made it into final photography.
The success of this shoot would not have been possible without Kelly's tireless help. She coordinated the entire operation of goods pick ups from our vendors, insurance, deliveries, and installation. She worked long hours with me as we styled the entire house in the days leading up to completion and shoot. She even managed to take most of the behind-the-scenes photos on shoot day. Kelly's contributions help us make our clients' dreams come true every single day. We couldn't do what we do without her.
Close-up previews of Michael J. Lee's Salt Marsh photography are now in our Portfolio, here.
