I have the lucky privilege of designing the interiors of some beautiful old houses.
In each case, my goal is to balance respect for architectural integrity of the past,
with a fresh perspective that serves the lifestyles of today.
HISTORIC DISTRICT is one such project.
Prominently located in a historic town center, the residence proudly bears its circa 1864 plaque. Thankfully, its new owners cared deeply about honoring the home's past
as we set about reinventing the house for their active family.
Before + After tells a little of the story...
The home's tired facade belied the beauty waiting to be rescued inside --
classical proportions, high ceilings, marble fireplaces and sun-filled spaces.
My focus was to ensure these qualities were preserved and enhanced with careful renovation and furnishings choices. United in their simplicity, a neutral palette and timeless pieces now marry past with present.
