Every once in awhile...
something happens that reaffirms your belief
in a greater force working in the universe.
Such was the case recently for our business, which has been growing at a rapid rate. We needed more help.
The very day I made the decision to hire someone, I got an email out of the blue that began:
i want to work for you!
This lovely woman had lots of professional experience (from media planning for Nike + Microsoft, to Admissions Director at a Waldorf school), but zero in the field of interior design. Against every rational thought, something told me that I had to find out more. The more I learned, the more I knew that here was the kind of enthusiastic, smart, joy-filled being that would be a great addition to our team. I have never looked back.
Every day, as my inbox fills with her emails efficiently managing our blur of activity, I am grateful for Kelly Hiselman's very first email. Kelly brings warmth, optimism and great ideas to work every day. She contributes to big picture planning and detailed process improvements alike. Our vendor relationships are expanding and deepening, and both vendors and clients appreciate Kelly's kind and helpful work ethic.
Most of all, Kelly embodies the kind of spirit that is at the heart of what I want our firm to be...
Honest and authentic.
The highest standard of excellence.
A friendly, concierge experience.
Simplified priorities and processes.
Making people happy.
Please help me officially welcome Kelly Hiselman, our new (aptly titled) VP of JOY.
You can drop her a line at email@example.com.
