Today, I am thinking about the beauty of white space...
white space on a page...
in an image...
in a room...
in one's life.
It is the negative space that gives more meaning and power to the positive space.
It is unmarked, uncluttered, clean, light.
It is the relief for one's eye as it views the horizon.
It is the breathing room as you walk through a courtyard.
It is the rest for one's soul as we move through our day.
When we try to cram so much on a page, all is diluted.
When we try to cram so much in our schedule, life loses meaning.
So, today, as I was adding a bit of white space into my website, I resolved to fit more white space into my life.
May you enjoy a little more white space in yours.
This post is dedicated to my beloved daughter, Fia... a source of great joy in the white spaces of my life.
These are some of the beautiful images taken by her this summer,
when I had the pleasure of working with her on a couple of photo shoots.
Thank you for the gift of you, Fia.
