DREAMING OF PARIS
About The Project
With its new wall of French balcony doors, arched millwork, well-appointed dressing room and bath and works of art by Renoir and Chapon, this master suite renovation now exudes the quiet luxury of a Parisian residence situated somewhere in Saint Germain.
The floor plan was reconfigured to bring natural light deeper into the space, capitalize on balcony views, add generous point-of-use storage and inspire complete tranquility for busy clients.
Custom curved millwork frames the silk velvet-dressed bed, which is now oriented towards the view. Walls are covered in metallic thread grasscloth while new ceiling moldings add visual height. A Murano chandelier by Venini lends quiet elegance.
The bath entry was rerouted and expanded with an interior window to share daylight between the newly-created seating nook and former cave-like bath. A zero-clearance shower, hand-cut glass tile, marble mosaic floor and the new dressing room with built-in vanity support a sybaritic daily living experience.
