Built 1860 in the French Academic style popularized by Paris, this historic apartment sits on Back Bay’s prestigious first block. Its tall elegant windows overlook the Boston Public Garden. Original architecture, including ornate plaster and mahogany coffer ceilings and three working fireplaces, has been preserved, restored, and enhanced. A handsome, streamlined palette and revolving modernist art collection balance delicate ornamentation. Furnishings are a study in curated essentials.
